Posted on January 27th, 2011

[nggallery id=412]I had the pleasure of attending the Year of India in Canada 2011 Press Conference held in North York, Toronto this past Monday along with our President Salim Sachedina and one of your India-partners, Munir Talib.  The The Press Conference was hosted by Mrs. Preeti Sara, Consul General of India & Ronjon Lahiri, Director, India Tourism, Toronto.  Their special guest was Professor Norman Archer, Professor Emeritus, DeGroote School of Management, McMaster University.  Mrs. Sara unveiled the Market Survey Report conducted through the WIN A TRIP TO INDIA CAMPAIGN conducted by India Tourism office all over Canada and spoke about the YEAR OF INDIA IN CANADA IN 2011.   Prof Norman Archer spoke about the Market Survey Report.  Mr. Ronjon Lahiri also asked me to announce our  sportfishing filming trip scheduled in northern India from March 26-April 12.  A question & answer followed by general interaction  with the Media and Press and also a delicious Indian-cuisine lunch.

Canadian Sportfishing is excited about the opportunity of featuring the culture, food, geography, special points of interest and especially the fantastic fishing India has to offer sport fishermen.  On our trip we will be angling for rainbow & brown trout in the tributaries of the Tirthan and the Beas Rivers, as well as catching trophy Masheer, a highly esteemed India sportfish and also trophy carp and catfish.  You won’t want to miss any of the episodes.

For those of you that would like to get more information or possibly even join us when we film in northern India, you can see a detailed itinerary of our trip and a video where I explain the areas we will be visiting and the fish we will be angling for at, http://www.milleniumtravel.ca/sportfishing.php .
