Winter shoreline walleye.

Posted on January 12th, 2016

With winter temperatures mixed with below freezing and above freezing, many Great Lakes anglers are still fishing open-water for a variety of fish species including jumbo perch and walleye.

Our friend Tom Mohr sent us these walleye catches from an in land lake in Wisconsin, USA where his friends are still fishing at night when walleye cruise along shorelines to feed.

These fish were caught on Rapala Shad Raps fished from shore. Walleye continue to feed shallow at dusk and at night even through the winter months under the ice.
