Winter harbor steelhead.
Posted on March 4th, 2017We are getting reports like from Frank Roy on the Ganaraska River, ON that after the last rains steelhead have been bunching-up in most tributary harbor mouths on Lake Ontario and even Georgian Bay.
These “staging” will shoot up with into the lower stretches of triburaries in the next few days as more rainfall is forecasted. Fresh roe bags, sensitive floats and line line work well in addition to casting KwikFish right in the harbors. Take advantage of this great late-winter steelhead fishing before most of them run upstream.
