Winter conditions in April?
Posted on April 4th, 2016Well, our weather is continuing to surprise us with winter conditions in April. In the Niagara Region we received strong easterly winds, cold temperatures and about 6″ of snow in the last 72-hrs.
What will this mean for anglers? It’s definitely a cold front that will probably shut down the shallow-water panfish fishing for a few days, but possibly bring more steelhead running up the many Lake Ontario tributaries in flood-like water levels from the rain before the snow and than followed by the snow-melt.
