White Bass, Great Lakes Rivers.

Posted on June 27th, 2017

For those of you that enjoy catching (and eating), White Bass, you will be glad to hear that they are still in many of our southern Ontario Great Lakes tributaries. The peak of the spring White Bass run normally happens between April and June, but for some reason this year the White Bass are still in many of our rivers.

On a recent outing we were fishing deeper runs for walleye and smallmouth bass and intercepted White Bass using the same jigs/plastic grubs. My wife Barbara holds up one of the chunky fish that hit a 2 1/2″ Lunker City LC Grub fished on a 3/8 oz round jighead fished in about 25′ water.
