Welland River, ON continuing to produce good size Walleye on Rapala crankbaits.

[nggallery id=561]After filming out of Sault Ste. Marie, ON on the St. Mary’s River and some of the connecting lakes I decided to get out on the Welland River, ON again with Tony Brecknock.  The water was very murky but we still managed to hook some trophy walleye fishing structure breaks from 5-12′ using the Rapala DT7F and DT Thug.  The Rapala Shift rod and reel outfits loaded with 10 lb. test Sufix 832, worked great to cast the light crankbaits in the significant wind, and of course we also had our Lucky Strike Live Release Baske Net to help us catch & release all our fish properly !  Besides catching some nice walleye, I also had another “bite-off” from a musky!!
