We just shot a trophy Walleye show in Blizzard conditions with guests Gary Hodge & Grant McAllister.
Posted on December 11th, 2009While most people were at home heeding weather warnings on the Weather Channel, Gary Hodge and Grant McAllister of G2 Angling services , joined me as guests to produce a trophy cold-weather and cold-water trolling TV show on the Lower Bay of Quinte. The predicted winter storm deposited 6cm of snow overnight and when we reached the Picton, ON boat launch, we ended-up shoveling snow before we could get the boats into the water. As we headed out on the Lower Bay of Quinte, strong winds and wet-snow made navigating to the 30-40′ of water challenging. Gary & Grant quickly started setting our lines out rigged with body baits and running with in-line planer boards. Before all 3-lines were set, we had the first trophy walleye on. Even in very tough conditions we managed to land 6 out of 11 trophy walleye that averaged 10 lb. Gary and Grant proved that they are professionals and consistently kept us on the fish. If you would like to enjoy a unique fishing experience where you will learn from the pros and catch trophy fish in any species, contact Gary and Grant through their website, above.
