We just finished shooting a trophy Halibut TV show at Sund’s Lodge, BC.
Posted on August 12th, 2010[nggallery id=298]Today, after shooting an excellent mixed TV show for Sockeye & Pink Salmon we decided to head to deeper water and hook-up some Halibut. Within a few hours we landed 4-Halibut, & two Arrowtooth Flounder to fishing a great TV show. All of our fish were caugth in 200-300′ of water. I was jigging a 10 oz. Luhr Jensen Stinker vertical jig, while my wife Barbara fished a classic Halibut “spreader-bar” on the bottom baited with a 1/2 of a herring. The Rapala Magnum heavy-action baitcaster loaded with the Rapala Hydros counter reel and 50 lb. Sufix Braid line was an excellent rig to land our fish.
