Walleye fishing picking up in Lake Erie and surrounding areas.
Posted on July 10th, 2014
We are hearing reports of anglers catching walleye in the eastern-end of Lake Erie, ON. Schools of walleye have been feeding in water depth ranging from 40-65′ of water. Anglers traditionally do well fishing the eastern end of Erie trolling with large blade worm harnesses/worms, either flat-lining with a bottom-bouncing sinker, or a Luhr Jensen Jet Diver/in-line planer board. Good boat trolling speed ranges from 1-2mph.

Luhr Jensen’s Jewel Bead worm harness in the larger size is excellent to use for Lake Erie walleye that are feeding in open water!
