US boat maker announces sixth expansion in a year.
Posted on December 22nd, 2022The Brunswick Corporation has announced its sixth expansion in 12 months with the news that it is adding a new building to its existing facility in Fort Wayne.
The 17,000 sqft building – a multi-million dollar investment – will be used to produce fibreglass for its Harris and Cypress Cay pontoon brands. It will increase capacity, reduce lead times, manage costs and create more than 40 new jobs. Work is expected to be completed by May 2023.
“This is an exciting milestone for our Fort Wayne facility as we continue to invest in the Harris brand and execute our strategic plans to increase capacity, stabilise supply chain continuity and drive efficiencies across our global footprint,” said Aine Denari, President of the group.
Fishing craft feature highly in the Brunswick portfolio of 15 brands which includes household names like Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Mercury, Crestliner, Lowe, Lund and Meridian.
