Ron Bierstine reports. There’s been some water level fluctuations in the Oak Orchard thanks to hydro power operations with some resultant overflow water. Turbine flows should be back in control at high levels thru later Sat as overflow levels recede. There are just showers in the forecast through Sat night but anymore significant precipitation could raise flows up more. Viz is about 1 – 2 feet in the Oak Orchard. The high winds and leaf hatch of Friday is over with now easier drifting. Some “zombie” salmon will be flushed out but as many or more green salmon and browns and steelhead will be migrating upstream. The other area smaller tributaries have slightly high flows with water color of 1 foot or less of viz. Browns are reported to be on the move now through those smaller waterways. This latest weather and spate of water should be just the ticket for spreading out fish and angling opportunities now thru the begin of Nov.
