A bit of a warm-up here on the Niagara Frontier with temps around 30 F for the weekend. Forecast is for mixed precipitation Saturday changing over to accummulating snow Sunday then back cold again for next week. Not likely warm enough for any significant run-off this weekend. Flows in the OOrchard are real low and there is significant icing. The other area smaller waterways are low and clear and frozen. A few anglers are getting some re-run browns and steelhead hook-ups at the dam with otherwise no open water trib reports coming in. In most years we’d be into some winter steelhead action under higher and stained flows, this year so far not so much. Drift boating trips on the big water Niagara may be one way to scratch a a big trout fix right now.
