UFindFish app. great tool to help you catch fish!

Posted on June 10th, 2015

I’ve dedicated my career at showing people how much fun fishing is and helping them to catch more fish. I have always encouraged anglers to get a hold of me and ask me questions so I can help them enjoy their fishing more.

A good example of people using our many social media venues to contact me is Mark Maracle who contacted me through “Ask a Pro” on our UFindFish app. as I headed to the Detroit River last week. I get a lot of satisfaction when I can give information that really helps anglers ensure they have a successful outing and Mark certainly did!

Ask a Pro Question: “Hi my name is mark and I’m looking to do a lot of fishing on the bay of quinte for walleye. My question is what lures and baits should I be using? And where should I fish? And what depths?”

Italo’s Response: “Hi Mark, you can have excellent walleye fishing casting & retrieving a Rapala Tail Dancer #9 in the “hot-chub” color around any weeds in the main bay that grow in 7-12′ of water. One of the most reliable areas to fish is Big Bay.”

Ask a Pro follow-up by Mark: “Hi Italo, just wanted to say thanks for the tip on walleye fishing I did very well over the weekend on Quinte.”

If you love to fish, make sure to download our UFindFish app to your smartphone. It’s free and I have over 1,000 of my favorite fishing spots marked on the app. The app works with real-time Google Maps so you can see the fishing spot, where you are and how to easily get there. You can add your own fishing spots, keep them to yourself, or share them with friends. You can also post your catches on the app. for all the other users to see and of course, Ask a Pro any questions you may have….good fishing!
