Two new Peacock Bass world records
Posted on January 23rd, 2017At the moment 15 species of the genus Cichla are recognized. But there are ongoing scientific discussions about the validity. Sport fishermen have made these cichlids prized game fish for their fighting qualities.
The IGFA published new all tackle world records for the Thyrorus Peacock and the Vazzoleri Peacock from Rio Trombetas. For the Thyrorus Peacock we found this record catch, far bigger than the “official” best mark, A 19 lb Thyrorus Peacock, one of two new Peacock Bass species.
