Tuesday Rains produce excellent Migratory Rainbow Trout Fishing.

Posted on April 29th, 2009

Ontario stream anglers are taking advantage of the heavy rains yesterday which increases flows and turbidity in many of the southern-Ontario tributary streams.  While conditions were wet & cooler, migratory rainbows were active all day long.  By 2pm, the weather cleared-up and shortly afterwards the sun came out.  As the waters subside and clear, anglers will need to be on their spots by day-break.  As soon as the sun rises, most rainbows holding in clear-water will be difficult to catch.

Bill Selby miles as he holds up a trophy spawned-out female migratory trout he caught fishing a fast-water run on Wilmot Creek, ON. Bill’s favorite technique is to use a 15’ steelhead drift-rod, float reel, sensitive float and a fresh-tied spawn-sack.
