[singlepic id=2176 w=320 h=240 float=]While many southern Ontario anglers are putting away their rainbow-gear, and going after walleye, pike and panfish, my wife Barbara, myself, Mulligan our puppy and the camera crew will be traveling up to Wikwemikong on Manitoulin Island to fish for Lake Huron rainbows and some trophy pike.

I have heard of the Canadian-record rainbow trout producing waters just of Manitoulin Island and now we will get a chance to feature the great fishing this areas has to offer on our TV show. Luke Wassegijig, our guide caught this nice rainbow last week. We are hoping to have lot’s of action both trolling for the rainbows using Lucky Strike spoons and also fishing spawn-sacks from shore. We will mostly be casting larger Lucky Strike spoons of the trophy pike that inhabit Lake Huron bays this time of the year. Make sure to check my blow when we get back later this week. I hope to show you some really nice fish!!
