As things turned out we ended up landing several “double-header” Coho & Chinook Salmon using the Rapala North Coast Mooching Reels and Rapala Classic Downrigger Rod and the North Coast 10 1/2′ Mooching Rod. Our line of choice was 30 lb. Sufix Elite monofilamenet line with fluorocarbon leaders.
We caught our salmon using Luhr Jensen Flashers and frozen anchovies rigged on a plastic head, and on the Blue Fox Matrix trolling spoons (pgs. 95/96).

When lunch came around we were visited right where we were fishing by the Sund’s Burger Boat….that’s right, a boat fully rigged with cooking utensils, a barbecue, a chef and driver. For the next 1/2 hr. We enjoyed freshly grilled burgers, hotdogs, salads and dessert, without missing any of the fishing action….now that’s having lunch on the boat in-style!!
