Trophy Rudd caught in Croatia.

Posted on March 9th, 2015

The Rudd is an invasive species in Ontario and I have caught small ones fishing for crappie, and my Dad caught one about 17” long fishing the Welland River. Can you imagine this giant 8 lb. Rudd, which was caught in Lake Vrana on Cres Island, Croatia on 17 June 2008? It smashed the old world record of 6.83 lb for a Rudd caught from the Austrian Danube River.
