A few years back I had the pleasure of fishing with Joe Still who was working for Tackle Retailer Magazine Digital division along with Larry Renken who worked with Raymarine. We fished together at the American Outdoor Writers Conference out of Lewiston, NY.
On the day we fished together we landed some chunky Smallmouth Bass and a Joe caught and release a White Bass that when we checked later would have qualified as a IGFA line class world record. We wanted to release it quickly so we only took a length measurement and it measures-out at 19″ long. It looked like it was a female full of eggs and I’m glad Joe released it to continue breeding. I love catching and eating White Bass, especially in the spring when they make their annual spawning migrations into harbours and rivers throughout the Great Lakes.
