Trophy Brown Trout at Port Dalhousie, ON.
Posted on November 5th, 2010[singlepic id=1466 w=320 h=240 float=]I think even the ducks thought it was a little cold and too wet this morning! I was going to head down to Port Dalhousie at 7:30am, but Mulligan my pup caught a bit of a cold yesterday filming the perch show in the cold and rain. So we slept in and we got down there around 10:30am. As I pulled-in I could already see anglers fighting brown trout. I picked-up 3-hot coffees knowing I would find some very grateful, wet and cold anglers. Well I was right. My good friend Gabor Horvat and his friend were there from Kitchener, ON and had been tuffing it out since day-break. They had both hooked about a half-dozen fish between them and landed a couple of nice female browns in the 10-12 lb. range. Dave Diruscio and his Dad were also there. Dave makes home-made plastic grubs for all kinds of fishing right from panfish and trout to bass and bigger fish under the name of Bigfish Baits. I was fortunate to take some of his samples home. I also met Louis Gravel who had left this morning at 4am from Montreal and drove straight to Port Dalhousie. He will be fishing there until Sunday and than heading back. Louis operates fishing charters in the Montreal, Quebec area and specialized in all kinds of gamefish including Musky, Walleye, Pike, American Shad and much more. If you would like to book a guided fishing trip with Louis, you can contact him at kurbmaster@videotron.ca . When Louis is not fishing he is working at one of the www.sail.ca stores in Montreal.
