I had a chance yesterday to take advantage of the nice weather (before the gale-force winds & rain started), and headed to one of my favorite trout tributaries on the Upper NY side of Lake Ontario. The weather was so nice that there were many people just walking the stream without fishing outfits. Fishing pressure was light.
My main interested for going out was to see the action on the new line of TriggerX grubs. I fished the TriggerX Spike Tail and was very impressed with the color selection they come in and how well they fished under a float with a 6 lb. test Sufix Fluorocarbon Leader. They look like a small baitfish or streamer, and have a tantalizing swimming action when you are drifting them under a float.
