Tributary fly fishing for brook and rainbow trout.
Posted on August 26th, 2017For small stream fly anglers, the warm days of late summer is one of the best times to target Brook and Rainbow trout using light-action fly rods with an assortment of dry and wet flies.
John and Connor Grdosic know all about that and on a recent trip enjoyed catching both in just a few hours.
When it comes to fly fishing, size of the trout is not that important. The excitement is the same when the fish comes to the surface or sub-surface to take the fly.
Even these smaller trout are full of energy and look beautiful. I learned a long time ago that it’s not about the size or numbers of the fish you catch, but about the experience. Late summer is one of the best times to capture memories of some of the most exciting small stream trout action!
