Tributary action heating-up as water temperatures drop.
Posted on October 19th, 2015I had a chance to check-out some Lake Ontario tributary action with my wife and pup Mulligan today. We set out mid-day to see if there were more salmon in the tributaries as we had more rain and temperatures are dropping to 0C at night.
My hunch was right. There were lot’s of anglers out and lot’s of salmon being caught.
Most of the female Chinooks were caught in deeper runs and I did not see one salmon on a spawing-reed.
Looks like the best salmon fishing will be over the next two weeks!
