Tough fishing on the Grand River, ON, but we managed to catch two nice Channel Catfish.
Posted on April 12th, 2010[nggallery id=206]Fishing was slow today on the Lower Grand River at Dunnville, ON. The water did look discolored from the recent rains we had and winds were gusting from the south-west which made for challenging fishing. We had many fish hit our baits, but only were able to hook-up on two. Grant McAllister of G2 Angling hooked the first fish and Ryan Edenborough landed the largest fish weighing in around 14 lb. In addition to adding the great action to the TV show we were also able to do an excellent tip on using sucker chunks as “dead-bait”. As soon as the river-water stabilizes, the fishing should improve.
