Noel Gyger reports. Light snow (-1 degrees C) Good runs of Steelhead are noted…plus good local Trout and Dolly Varden Char fishing.
Water is fishable. Ice in the river but mostly open water. Some great Steelhead can still be had. Plus some good Trout Fishing. Lots of ice flow in the river now. Be careful walking on the ice near the edge of the river. Reg: all wild Steelhead everywhere in British Columbia are catch and release. Sockeye fishing is great. News: The Sockeye run on the Skeena is predicted to be low this year but chart below shows an above average run has come-in so far. Reg: Sockeye limit: 2 per day. 0 per day from a boundary sign on the north bank of the Skeena River 100m upstream of the confluence with the Kitwanga River downstream to Mill Creek.
