Terrace, BC Steelhead Update
Posted on April 22nd, 2009

Noel Gyger reports: The weather has been good all week with some rain towards the weekend. The snow pack is starting to melt and the rivers are on the rise. The Steelhead that were holding in deep dark pools are on the move. Both upper and lower sections of the Kalum River are in good shape even though the water is rising. The first Chinook salmon should be coming into the Kalum River soon. The Zymoetz (Copper) River is dirty and not fishable. The main stem Skeena River is dirty but is still borderline fishable below Terrace. A good run of spring Steelhead and Chinook (King) Salmon should be coming in now. Good runs of Steelhead are coming into the many isolated coastal streams and rivers
