Terrace, BC fishing update.

Posted on June 14th, 2013

Angling guide Gord McKean (aka “splash Gordon”) with a beautiful, big Kitimat River Chinook (King) Salmon. Gord is AAG (Assistant Angling Guide) for Tracey Hittel of Kitimat Lodge.

Noel Gyger reports. Conditions looking pretty good for the weekend with warmer day time temperatures. Rivers including “lower” Skeena should be fishable; try China Bar. Kalum is good for Chinook. Try fishing for Chinook on the Exchamsiks and Kasiks in the cleaner water below the highway 16 bridges. Chinook is closed above the bridges. Kitimat River is very good for Chinook. Upper Lakelse Trout fishing is good. Lakelse River Bridge should be fishing good for Chinook. Lake fishing is starting to pick up everywhere. Smithers BC area Lakes and Rivers are fishing well. Ocean fishing out of Kitimat and Prince Rupert is excellent; so is Crabbing and Prawning. Good luck this weekend.
