Due to cooler temperatures just about all of the rivers are very, very low. This can make fishing a challenge but this is still a good time to try for a Steelhead. The lower Copper, Skeena, Lakelse and Kalum Rivers are the best choice. Spring Steelhead should be coming into the Kitimat River soon but we sure could use a “bump” of water. Kitimat and Lakelse Rivers are both good for Trout and Dolly Varden Char. Due to low water conditions, the Steelhead run in isolated coastal rivers is slow. Winter Springs are in both Kitimat Douglas Channel and Prince Rupert. Dungeness Crab and Prawning is excellent!
