Noel Gyger reports. Weather forecast sunny and warm. Kalum River is a good place to fish this weekend. This is “PRIME-TIME” for this beautiful river. Fresh spring run Steelhead are coming in now and will mix with last fall summer run fish. Kitimat River is dropping and I have a report of some spring Steelhead coming in. Lakelse River is in good shape with good spring Steelheading, especially mid river. Try and get out before the Steelhead start spawning; once they start they should not be targeted. If the lower Skeena River continues to clean this will be the “hot-spot” for fresh Chinook and spring Steelhead. Ocean fishing for Salmon and Bottom Fish out of Kitimat and Prince Rupert is good; so is Crabbing and Prawning. Smithers BC area lakes are fishsing well.
