Noel Gyger reports. Weather forecast sunny with cloudy periods and higher day time temperatures. Perfect fishing weather. Kalum Riverwas dirty on the lower end on Tuesday hopefully by the weekend it will clean out. The upper end should clean up first. I have had reports of good Steelhead fishing in both the upper and lower ends. This is “PRIME-TIME” for this beautiful river. Fresh spring run Steelhead are coming in now and will mix with last fall summer run fish. Guiding started April 1st. A few last minute spots are still open, so don’t miss out.Skeena River in good shape and ice is not really a problem anymore.Zymoetz (Copper) Riverwas brown on Tuesday but is cleaning up now; hopefully it will be fishable by the weekend. Kitimat River is dropping and I have a report of some spring Steelhead coming in. Lakelse River in good shape with good spring Steelheading, especially mid river. Try and get out before the Steelhead start spawning; once they start they should be left alone. Ocean fishingfor Salmon and Bottom Fish out of Kitimat and Prince Rupert is good; so is Crabbing and Prawning.
