I was recently fishing one of my favorite Lake Ontario Brown trout and Steelhead tributaries when this memorial to Tanner McFarland caught my eye. Tanner obviously loved the outdoors and loved to fish with friends. Tanner was 25 yrs old when he passed away in a work accident.
Someone that cared very much for him and probably fished with him took the time to set up this memorial in his name.
I’m glad they did it, it reminds us that life is short and you never know when it’s going to end. Memorials like shows the love that we have and express for others and it also encourages me to live every day to the fullest!
