Summer shoreline Pike.
Posted on September 2nd, 2016Matt Cory of TopSet Sportfishing knows how to beat the summer heat by wearing light cloths and wading tributaries to catch pike.
Many anglers don’t realize that pike regularly migrate up rivers and tributaries and when they find the right mix of food and cover, they stay there until water temperatures drop. A key to finding good-size pike in smaller tributaries is to cover lot’s of water and concentrate on fishing the deeper, slower pools. Most lures will work, but a Vibrax #3 spinner or small Rapala is hard to beat!!
