Many anglers that don’t necessarily want to have the maintenance of a fishing boat have opted to getting a kayak to fish smaller protected bodies of water. Adam De Vries loves to take time off from “cartooning” and getting out with his kayak to catch bass.
He loves to fish smaller bodies of water from the Bruce Peninsula to the Kawartha’s.
Kayaks are ideal since you can get into “thin-water” areas where often bass boats or other fishing boats don’t venture but where bass can feed and live to reach good sizes. Adams favorite presentation is to cast either a weedless spoon, plastic worm or shallow-diving crankbait to catch his fish.
