Summer time is an excellent time to target big Brook Trout in large cold rivers and inland lakes. The Grdosic family recently had a chance to fish the Nipigon River, ON and make it a boating/camping adventure.

Johon Grdosic holds up one of the smaller Nipigon River, ON Brook Trout for release. It has the potential of becoming a 10 lb. trout!

Big Brook Trout learn to get that size by feeding on smaller trout and a variety of available baitfish. Small minnow imitating lures like Rapalas, spoons and spinners work well for them as well as streamer flies that look like baitfish.
