Storm Live series for summer pike.

Posted on June 26th, 2015

Pike anglers know that pike will roam shorelines early and late in the day, but will most likely feed by laying in wait to “ambush” prey during the day. Their favorite areas to wait are beside weed growth, submerged wood and prominent structure areas like large boulders.

While casting, drifting and trolling with lures that swim “horizontally” through the water early and late in the day, using a “vertical” presentation combines with a “horizontal” one can work really well in the middle of the day around weeds/structure/submurged trees.

That’s the time to fish one of the Storm Live paddle-tail minows!
