Steelhead and Brown Trout fishing slow today at Niagara River, ON Whirlpool.
Posted on December 5th, 2010[nggallery id=379]It was a nice “fresh” afternoon, so my wife Barbara & I decided to take our pup Mulligan for a walk to the Niagara Whirlpool to see how the anglers were doing. We spoke to a couple of anglers who had caught a brown each. The other anglers we spoke to had fish on but did not land any. The water was down about another 10′ than on Fri., which meant that the water would be flowing faster and clock-wise. I have found that the fishing is always better in the Whirlpool when the water is not so low, the current not as fast and when it is flowing counter-clockwise. I will be fishing it again tomorrow morning using a slip-bobber and my favorite purple flies.
