I had the pleasure recently speaking to Greg Humphrey who regularly fished the mouth of the St. Clair River in Sarnia, ON. This is one location that we don’t get to hear too much about. The St. Clair river may not get as much pressure as the Niagara or the Detroit River, but it produces it’s share of warm-water gamefish and coarse fish. In the featured image, Greg is holding up a bright average size, lake-run steelhead he caught just fishing from shore.
St. Clair River steelhead can be caught drifting roe bags, imitation eggs, glass beads and also casting lures like the Vibrax 32 & #3, 1/4 & 3/8 oz. spoons like the Lil’Cleo and even casting deep diving crankbaits.!
