Parents and grandparents, with water and air temperatures warming up this is an excellent time to take kids/grand-kids fishing from shore. If you live in southern Ontario, most of our warm-water lakes will have panfish all over the shorelines. You don’t have to travel far. Most of the Conservation Area reservoirs have excellent spring fishing.
All you need is a kids fishing outfit, a bobber, one or two split-shot sinkers, a small long-shanked hook (for easier hook removals), and night crawlers. Let’s keep our fishing heritage going by taking the kids out, even for just an hour or two!
