Southern Ontario reservoirs produce mixed bag of fish.

Our good friend Gabor Horvat sent in these images of fish he caught this weekend fishing at one of the many reservoirs in southern Ontario. He fished with his friends Nenad *& Danilo and judging from the images they had fun and caught some nice fish. Their strategy was to fish crank baits to target multiple species in water less than 10 feet deep. They fished in windy conditions but that seemed to turn the fish “on”.

The largest fish they landed was an impressive 32″ pike.

The walleye measured out around 15″.

The 2nd most impressive catch of the day was this tiny catfish, about 2″ long that nailed the 9cm long crankbait….go figure! They had a good laugh… and released the fish.

As the colder temperature start to move-in the small mouth bass fishing will just get better!
