Southern Ontario Reservoir Fishing Update.
Posted on September 21st, 2010Gabor Horvat reports. On Sunday my wife & I went to one of the local reservoirs to try our luck for smallmouth bass. To our surprise there were lots of boaters on the reservoir as well as some people swimming. This was surprising since the water temperature was around 63F water temperature! A week ago, on the same reservoir, the water temperature was much higher and the fishing was very slow. Now, as the temperature had dropped, we had better action.

We caught several nice smallmouth bass by jigging in water between 12-25’. We drifted slowly using the wind to our advantage. The most productive soft-plastics were 4†tube and white 3†twister tails grubs.
