Smallmouth Bass, Walleye Action, & Shorelunch, Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, Lady Evelyn Lake, ON.

[nggallery id=772]On our last day at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge we fished with our good frineds Anna-Rae & Gerald Fisher and caught trophy Smallmouth bass and enjoyed a shorelunch back at the lodge.  Our last day was one with calm weather and we were able to again cast the Rapala Skitter Pop and Rapala X-Rap Pop along the tree-stump studded shorelines and fished the nearby structure breaks.

Calm conditions are not the best for fishing walleye, but all of the guests managed to catch eating-size walleye which they enjoyed at our shorelunch. While walleye fishing, Ryan Edenborough, our guide also landed this small fish called a “Logperch” which is part of the minnow family.  Gamefish in Lady Evelyn Lake have lot’s of different minnow species to feed on!!  James, the owner along with his staff did a great job again making sure we all had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the fresh-fish shorelunch!  We again enjoyed having our pup Mulligan with us and playing with the rest of the dog-pack that included Bo (yellow lab), Cosmo (Pomeranian), Hunter (golden retrievier), and Dora (black lab).

If you would like to enjoy the hospitality, ambiance, wilderness setting and excellent fishing Red Pine Wilderness Lodge has to offer, make sure to contact them to book a trip!
