Here’s a nice shot of a native lake trout Simeon Kubassek just caught fishing near Red Lake, ON. Simeon caught this fish using a live minnow. Lake Trout in the northern ranges of our provinces have a shorter growing season and take a little longer to grow, especially if there are not a lot of forage fish. You can see from the dark colors and full body shape this lake trout was feeding well. Well done Simeon!
