Shoreline Walleye.

While many anglers are taking advantage of our late spring and boat fishing for walleye close to their spawning grounds, Jeremy and Cassondra Patey have been having fun fishing one of the rivers from shore.

They were using white jig heads with a half green/yellow mix twister-tail plastic grub tipped with a half of dew worm. Location, location, location, they were fishing the tail end of some rapids just before it slows down to a deeper pool. I am sure if you fished the same areas at dusk or just after dark, you could also catch those tasty fish casting & retrieving crankbaits and minnow imitating lures like the Rapala Husky Jerk and Jointed models in the smaller sizes.
