The boys at TopSet Sport Fishing are making the most of shorefishing for smallmouth bass.

Late summer is definitely the time to check-out the deeper stretches of lower sections of Great Lakes Tributaries for trophy bass that have been feeding on the plentiful baitfish and crayfish supply all summer long. Fishing these tributaries for smallmouth is easy. You can fish the same artificials you do in the lake for them. Among these some of the top lures to use are jigs/plastic grubs like tubes, twister-tails, Lunker City swim-baits, plastic worms and smaller crankbaits like the Rapala Dives To 4 and their Ultralight Series.
