Saugeen River, ON Fishing Update.
Posted on December 31st, 2010Wayne Sheridan reports: Warm Temperatures this weekend will cause any ice formed on the lakes to remain very unstable. Please be very cautious when venturing out on thin ice. Everyone at Canadian Angling wishes all a Happy New Year.
River Flow Rates: high/moderate and rising. The river ice is unstable.
Saugeen River (Durham) rising at 2.18M, Saugeen River (Walkerton) rising at 9.6M, Saugeen at Port Elgin rising at 8.33M, Sauble River (Sauble Falls) rising at 1.34M, Sydenham River (Owen Sound) at 5.058M, Maitland River (above Wingham) down at 10.654M, French River at Woseley Bay at 187.664M, Bronte Creek near Zimmerman dropping at 5.891M, Credit River at Streetsville steady at 4.614M, Credit River at Orangeville down at 10.3M, Grand River (Doon), down at 4.045M (below Shand dam) at 1.563M, Rideau River at Ottawa up at 3.55M, Ottawa River at Britannia at 58.565M
Prime Fishing Times: Saturday January 1st, 2011: 9:26am to 10:18am (moon overhead), 9:51pm to 10:43pm (moon underneath).
Flyfishing: Egg patterns, bloodworms and minnows for larger trout
