Wayne Sheridan reports: The salmon have now returned to Owen Sound Bay, just in time for this years fishing derby. My neighbors went to the fish fry they had last Saturday and they had a great time. With all the rain the past week, the river didn’t rise very much. This was because the ground was so dry, that it got absorbed quickly. A bit more rain this weekend should help the river conditions. We did a little fishing the past weekend, but action was slow due to the warm water, swimmers, and canoes. Don’t forget our Fishing tournament starts September 9-11, 2011.
