Wayne Sheridan reports: The weird weather continues in southern Ontario. Mid-week we experienced an Arctic blast called a Polar Vortex with extremely low temperatures and this will be followed by warm temperatures and rain on the weekend. Make sure that ice conditions are stable before going out on the lakes and rivers. The ice may be too thin in certain areas for snowmobiles yet. Some friends went fishing on Lake Simcoe a couple of weeks ago but action was slow. For those of you that like to do a little skating, the Rideau Canal is now open for skating in Ottawa.
