Saugeen River, ON and area fishing update.

Wayne Reports: We went up to check on the Saugeen River levels last weekend and while high, they were still in its banks. Most of the snow melt has now gone through the upper part of the river.

Jim went up north to do some ice fishing and caught this great 4lb Lake trout. Great fish Jim.

River Flow Rates: High but dropping and clearing, visibility 3 ft.

River Levels: Saugeen River (above Durham) at 1.6M, Saugeen River (Walkerton) at 11.16M, Saugeen at Port Elgin at 9.367M, Sauble River (Sauble Falls) 1.726M, Sydenham River (Owen Sound) at 5.364M, Maitland River (above Wingham) at 10.998M, French River at Woseley Bay at 187.815M, Bronte Creek near Zimmerman 6.161M, Credit River at Streetsville at 4.824M, Credit River at Orangeville 11.31M, Grand River (Doon) 4.811M (below Shand dam) at 2.57M, Rideau River at Ottawa 3.489M, Ottawa River at Britannia at 59.053M

Flyfishing: minnow, red wiggler worms, roe imitation

Prime Fishing Times: Saturday April 2, 2016: 8:19 am to 9:41am (moon overhead) and 8:44 pm to 10:06 pm (moon underneath).
