Saugeen River, ON and area fishing update.

Posted on October 22nd, 2013

Dave Morgan went fishing in B.C. on the Frazer River and caught this huge Sturgeon. Now that is a huge fish!

Wayne Sheridan reports. The heavy rains this past weekend, is causing the river levels to rise again. This has drawn the rainbow and steelhead into the rivers on the Grey-Bruce. It will be a great time to check out the fish and the remaining fall colours on the trees for the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately the temperatures are quickly dropping and we may get snow soon.

River Flow Rates: high fall levels. Visibility tea coloured, 2ft.

River Levels: Saugeen River (above Durham) at 1.595M, Saugeen River (Walkerton) at 10.416M, Saugeen at Port Elgin at 8.654M, Sauble River (Sauble Falls) 1.199M, Sydenham River (Owen Sound) at 5.115M, Maitland River (above Wingham) down at 10.508M, French River at Woseley Bay at 186.831M, Bronte Creek near Zimmerman 5.948M, Credit River at Streetsville at 4.677M, Credit River at Orangeville at 11.216M, Grand River (Doon) at 4.315M (below Shand dam) at 1.812M, Rideau River at Ottawa at 3.155M, Ottawa River at Britannia at 58.143M

Prime Fishing Times: Saturday October 26, 2013: 5:14 am to 8:20 am (moon overhead) and 5:38 pm to 8:45 pm (moon underneath).
