Saugeen River, ON and area fishing update.

River levels are now starting to drop back down to normal August levels but the rivers and lakes are definitely cooler than normal, for this time of year. The colder nights are dropping the temperatures. It will warm back up to normal levels next week. We went fishing for a bit last Sunday, but the river was quiet and very clear.
River Levels: Saugeen River (above Durham) at 1.177M, Saugeen River (Walkerton) at 9.391M, Saugeen at Port Elgin at 7.427M, Sauble River (Sauble Falls) 0.767M, Sydenham River (Owen Sound) at 4.894M, Maitland River (above Wingham) down at 9.973M, French River at Woseley Bay at 186.338M, Bronte Creek near Zimmerman 5.783M, Credit River at Streetsville at 4.444M, Credit River at Orangeville at 11.201M, Grand River (Doon) at 4.105M (below Shand dam) at 1.704M, Rideau River at Ottawa at 2.785M, Ottawa River at Britannia at 57.946M
Prime Fishing Times: Saturday August 17th, 2013: 9:51 pm to 11:03 pm (moon overhead) and 9:19 am to 10:25 am (moon underneath).
Flyfishing: Iso, various caddis. Trico, scuds, white dun, red blood worm, crayfish and minnows.
Great Lakes Fishing: Best bet is Lyman lures, Rapala J13, Storm Hot’N Tot, & Rapala Shad Rap #9 and Rapala spoons.
